The Brew Hop was created to help spread the
word about quality Tasmanian craft beer, spirits and cider. Tasmania has
long been famous for its wineries and in recent years for its whiskey and
gin distilleries, but we’re doing what we can to help visitors and locals
alike experience and appreciate some of Tasmania’s finest brews, as well.Tasmanian brewing is quickly catching up to the
mainland. The home of two of Australia's iconic brands, Cascade and Boag's, the
craft scene is rapidly expanding, with breweries opening up all over Hobart and
along the North Coast. Tasmania is home to one of the largest hop fields in
Australia, Bushy Park, about an hour North of Hobart, meaning that fresh hop
beers in Tasmania are literally as fresh as it gets.
