The Winston was your average old school pub for many years , a place for locals who wanted a no fuss venue to hang out in at the northern end of North Hobart. All this changed in 2013, when Kris and Caroline Miles, who lived around the corner, purchased The Winston and set about reinvigorating its offering. Kris spent time working at Beer Deluxe in Melbourne and is a big craft beer fan, while Caroline, who hails from Baltimore, is a fan of barbecue and American comfort food. The updated Winston reflects the duo’s passions, and is now a very popular pub that’s worth visiting even if you’re not a local.
